Kampar CS (Engineers or labors?)

3 cars for our number of ppl.

We were working for HABITAT. Mr Fabio (if not mistaken) wanted us to wear the helmet all the time for safety purpose.











Yellow for the normal rank builders, while white for a higher rank ppl, usually architect or engineers.

Mr Fabio was a carpenter until he left his hometown to get involved in HABITAT.
He started to work here just few months ago.

These are concrete blocks. It's hollow as they need reduce the weight that will impose on soil. The soil is quite soft FYI, and it's besides a river. So the bearing capacity of the soil might not be that good with water in the soil.













Oh ya. Before I get started, let me tell you what project we were doing.
We were assigned 2 tasks,

1. Build a retaining wall
2. Build a house (b4 that already 50% done)
   

Outside, not far from the parked car, is the site for the retaining wall.
RETAINING WALL - is a wall that used to hold the sand from moving.

This was retaining wall previously done by other group, which as u can see,
not good enough. Showing signs of failure.

A short walk from the retaining wall site is the house construction site.

*Noticed that the wall were not even on the same level with the window frame.

So we started off by wearing helmet and gloves. Everyone looked excited.

6 persons helping with the house, while the rest went for the retaining wall.
I was on the house site.
SO following pictures I not so sure what's happening. hehe:p

He tersangkut with the cage i think.

The retaining wall is actually made of a steel cage, buried to an extent of ground, with stones as the weightier. Means that to build a retaining wall, a steel cage filled with stones must be buried to the wanted site. They started by shaping the steel cage 1st, then digging the ground, and finally place the steel cage to the ground before filling it with stones.

They were crouching at the hole they dug, which this act was seen by Mr. Fabio accidentally when he was back from house construction site to guide them. Must be very very embarrassing:p

We had a break on 12++.
Went for the famous Curry chicken bread,
which the bread contained curry chicken inside.
Yes, it's inside, you can only see the chicken after u cut the bread off.
Special huh?

Kampar Community Service (Reaching)

LOL! Here's the Kampar Trip as promised.
It's going to be few parts, starting with day one.





Yeah..it's tiring I know.





But ah boon seems so suprised. Hehe:p

It was 9pm++ when we reached.
And we had our dinner somewhere in Kampar(student spot?).






Then...You might want to SKIP this part. Hehe:p

I had no idea what I was doing that time.

So, we ended up staying at Kampar Grand Hotel (I was told it is a 5 stars hotel).
Hmmm....

Actually I'm quite satisfied with the room. We got ourselves a family package, which the room is divided into 2 partition, 1 where the beds are, and the other for tv! Oh, the toilet banyak bagus lo!







The room is extraordinary spacious, with 1 king/queen size bed, and 2 single bed. Plus the sofa, u can actually fit almost the whole class of ppl. Maybe some of u want to sleep in the bath tube too:p

Now I know why it's called GRAND HOTEL.
Looks like palace. Hehe:p

OKAY lets get back to the night. It was UNO session for the kids.

We slept around 3am as we had somekind of "party". Lol!

Back to morning.

It was around 7 when everyone trying hard to wake up.
Later on we had a wonderful breakfast (dim sum) which cost up to hundred ringgit. Haha:p
9am gathering at the site!

OH YA! Forgotten to tell the main purpose to Kampar.

1. Learn some skills for actual construction site
2. Helping the orang asli to build their house
3. Some sort of holiday? haha:p

PC fair 2009

说到Pc fair,一定少不了美女-cosplay！

这是唯一我拍到的一张！好好欣赏哦！

本人呢，是第一次做工！
也不只是哪里吹来的风，忽然就很想体会工作的感觉。

星期五做起，每天站至少10小时！我现在好像练到了金刚腿！呵呵!

顺便来个简短的时事新闻！
《大马今天为止已经有了11宗因
H1N1而丧命的人。》

不过PcFair的人群依然蜂拥！
我们呢，第一天比较闷，因为比较少人。到了第二，第三天，才比较好玩。原来服务到一个人开开心心会令我那么的有成就。哈哈！

其实工作开始时还不是那么顺利。
因为第二天一早被一个芝麻绿豆的小manager-肥仔(据说）说我们不会“拉客”。

他说：“是不是你们promoter有问题？为什么另外一个摊这么卖得？”

据我分析：（我说给他听）

1. 我们的店面没有他们的大
2. 招牌没打出来
3. 还有物品都摆在里面，外面经过都看不到
4. 当着我们产品的产品是比较高档次的货物(logitech vs sensonic)
5. 别的店面卖一样的东西，我们却比别人贵几块（调查过）
   

然后他竟然是说：“那么要不要我告诉大老板，你们就做到今天，明天不用来了？”

我呢,听到这句就很开心！哈哈！因为其实昨天已经很累，本来就有哪个打算了，况且我只想获得一些经验，而不在乎钱的。（本人不缺钱啦）

那时我反应也很快，直接就说：“那好，你告诉老板，叫他拿昨天和今天的工钱来，明天我们不来上班！” 之后我就没理他。哈哈！

算他倒霉，他店面的promoter全是我的coursemate！我不开心，那个肥仔也得罪了我们全部！

那么差不多中午时，另外一个比较大职位的来了，他来关心我们的啦……
最后大老板来了，他表示要大家把话都摊开来讲，而且也很感到抱歉（我想应该是找不到别人替代我们啦）……哈哈！不过其实他也算是好人啦，说话比较成熟！

最后，朋友们都没有异议，我们就给大老板脸，继续作了。

老板！紫色衣！看本人，你会觉得他超像刘青云的！

接下来都很顺利咯。也懂了一些电脑产品的原价，还有商业手段！wahahaha!

每天都10点多才离开。都是看到这景色。

三年前。
曾经一个人到这个地方。
看到很多人，每一个都是一对对，在池边甜蜜。
而我，带着不确实的心情游荡着湖边，
说，

“我不会再一个人来了，
不会再一个人抓相机，
因为不想拍下那寂寞的感觉。”

如今感觉实在，却握不紧人。

我的死党们。嘿嘿！

最后一天回家，lrt站等电车，都11.18夜晚了！
