Kampar CS (Worked hard, but enjoyed)

Let's continue!

So, now instead of continuing with the house, we went to help the retaining wall. They need a lot of big stone!

That was tiring!

a way to show how tiring we are:p

If you were lazy, the punishment will be execution by burying you alive!:p

Mr. Fabio with the "dat dat dat dat" machine. That's what he said:p Need to redo the column part near the door coz it was not perfectly horizontal aligned to the door! A lot of work there..

A way to reduce the construction waste is to use them up.
The stones/bricks that failed were transported to the cage as wall's weight.
To fill the cage for the retaining wall took a lot of time.

Joseph with a very proud pose as engineer. :p
Engineer's pride.

Last step, tying the cage so that the wall act as rigid part.

Side view and...

...the "butt"view.

Mr Fabio came to check the progress.
He was very satisfy with the retaining wall as it was man-powered instead of machine.
Actually building a retaining wall is not an easy task.

Our retaining wall. So handsome!

And back to the house.

It was going to rain soon.

He was praying for the rain to come, so we can have reasonable excuse to rest:p

This is the toilet part. SO SMALL!
but compared to other houses...

see? The house we building is made from concrete blocks.
Other houses were papan nia.
This one must be ketua kampung's house, or someone with great wealth in the kampung!

Yeah, taking photo with all the hard workers!
The end of hard construction day!

Later on we had dinner at Kampar "nga bou" chicken rice.
Most of us had fully sweated our jeans(should not wear jeans for construction==)
so we changed to short pants.

wink wink**

Okay, FYI, that day was 9 of July.
Mooi sen, Fei, Yean and me took the last train to back KL.
The rest on cars.
So, I had a unforgetable BIRTHDAY night in train. Sob:p
